About Research Source Library
A research reading library with bibliographic context, excerpts, capture dates, notes, and reading status, plus views for unread, active, grouped, and processed sources.
What’s included
- Source title, URL, author, and publication date
- Excerpts, notes, and reading status
- Five views and a source-analysis page template
How to use it in practice
Save a source relevant to a current question and record why it matters before collecting more links. Keep the author’s argument separate from your interpretation in the notes. Use the unread and processed views to maintain a realistic reading queue rather than building a library that never becomes usable research.
Set it up in your workspace
- Open the original Notion Marketplace listing and add the template to your chosen workspace while signed in. Keep its example records until you understand how the pages connect.
- Save a source relevant to a current question and record why it matters before collecting more links.
- Try one complete example before adding a large backlog. Check that its views and any calculations show what you expect, then replace the sample content with your own.
Who it suits and what to consider
Researchers, students, and writers who need to remember why they saved a source. The creator mentions an optional Carrel clipping extension, but manual entry is supported. This library does not replace a formal citation manager or verify source reliability.
